on saturday, April 16, 2022 was held in the 7th district of Ouagadougou (Wapassi Boassa district), a meeting of stakeholders of the component 3a of the #ECDD project.
The main objective of the meeting was to identify the sites where the standpipes will be installed as part of the implementation of the project.
Present at the meeting were:
the Chief of Wapassi, the
Representative of the Protestant community, the
Representative of the Catholic community, the
Representatives of the customary people, the
Representatives of the internally displaced persons, representatives of the youth
representatives, youth representatives, women’s representatives, representatives of various
Representatives of various associations, including the association Afrique Solidaire, which carries out the activity.
It is important to note that half of the participants were women.
The women expressed themselves strongly. The concerns revolved around the type of infrastructure to be built, the number, the location, the availability of water at the standpipes, the cost of water.
In the end, 9 sites were identified for the installation of 5 standpipes. The standpipes will be built in priority on the community sites after exchange with ONEA. The participants to this meeting were all very happy and did not miss words to reiterate their deep gratitude to the project
