Support to the strengthening of the institutional, organizational and technical capacities of the Local Water Committees of the Nakanbe/FASO KOOM II Water Agency area
Overall objective: To contribute sustainably to the satisfaction of the freshwater needs of the users and ecosystems of the Nakanbe Water Agency area.
Cost: 1,200,000 euros, i.e. approximately 780,000,000 million CFA.
Funding source: European Union (EU) and World Waternet
Duration: 4 years (2019-2022)
Implementing partners: World Waternet, Nakanbé Water Agency, Utrecht University
Beneficiaries: the populations living in the hydrological complex known as “Massili-Ziga” including the city of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, and those of the areas of competence of 4 local water committees surrounding the Bagré dam economic agropolis, i.e. nearly 6 million people impacted.
