Designed among other things to strengthen the capacities of the Local Water Committees, the Water, CLE of Sustainable Development (ECDD) project has helped the CLEs to acquire a guide document for carrying out investment projects and priority action plans related to the protection and preservation of water resources.
In order to implement these action plans following the recommendations of the guide, the ECDD project through World Waternet WWn provides an additional grant to the CLEs for the year 2022. The partnership formalization ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at World Waternet headquarters in Ouagadougou. For this second phase of partnership, four (04) financing agreements were signed between the international coordinator of ECDD/WWn and the presidents of the CLE Local Water Committee – CLE PONI 2, Sourou2, Mouhoun-Tâ of the Mouhoun Water Agency and #SirbaAmon of the Gourma Water Agency . The total amount of this grant for the year 2022 is about forty million (40,000,000) CFA francs.
