SIGNING OF A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ECDD PROJECT AND ANEEMAS

on 15th June 2022 , the world waternet foundation(WWn)  signed a partnership agreement with ANEEMAS (National Agency for the Supervision of Mining, Artisanal and Semi-mechanized operations) for the construction of two water retention basins on drainage basins on the artisanal gold mining sites of Kolo in the town of Tiébélé in the Nahouri province (Central-Southern region of the jurisdiction of the Nakanbe Water Agency)  and Djikando in the Gaoua commune of the Poni province (South-West region of the Mouhoun Water Agency’s area of competence).
The total investment for the construction of these two collection basins amounts to forty-four million (44 000 000) FCFA, of which twenty-two million (22 000 000) per site and extends over a period of 3 years. This investment is part of the implementation of the activities of the sub-component 2 (Reuse of water from gold panning) of the ECDD project implemented by the SNV/WWn consortium thanks to the financing of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Burkina Faso
